Pregnant with Second Child, TV Star & Ex-Miss Asia Dies at 33 After Heartbreaking Final Message

In a sorrowful turn of events, the Syrian television star and former Miss Asia beauty queen, Angy Morad, has passed away at the age of 33. Morad, known both for her grace on the pageant stage and her memorable performances in popular TV dramas, left fans heartbroken after posting a poignant farewell message online just days before her untimely demise.

According to reports from The Sun, Morad had been battling a severe viral infection that she contracted during her second pregnancy. The infection, compounded by an ongoing struggle with pneumonia, resulted in critical lung complications that eventually necessitated her admission to intensive care. Despite undergoing weeks of treatment, the actress succumbed to complications stemming from the viral infection.

Morad’s online farewell had raised alarms among her loyal followers. In a heart-wrenching post on Facebook, she confessed, “I am dying, forgive me.” This candid admission sent shockwaves through the entertainment community and ignited an outpouring of support and prayers for her recovery.

Her condition had deteriorated rapidly following the onset of pneumonia, exacerbated by the additional stress of her pregnancy. Despite the dedicated efforts of medical professionals, the situation grew increasingly dire. Her husband, Samer, expressed his anguish on social media, pleading for divine intervention on her behalf. He wrote, “Angy is in a difficult situation between life and death. Please pray for her.”

Tragically, the efforts to reverse her declining health proved futile. Morad’s mother confirmed the devastating news that the star passed away in hospital on February 9. With a heavy heart, she posted on social media: “May God have mercy on you, my daughter,” encapsulating the grief felt by those close to her.

In the wake of her passing, Samer shared a deeply personal tribute to his late wife. He penned, “I cry to my wife, my lover, my life partner, who left me heartbroken after her departure.

“I am comforted to think that you have become the eye of the Merciful and of his mercy. May God have mercy on you and reunite me with you in his paradise. We belong to God and to him we return.” His words reflect the profound loss experienced by the family and the enduring love that continues even in mourning.

Born in 1992 in Damascus, Syria, Morad was a talented graduate of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts. She rose to fame through her roles in celebrated Syrian drama series such as Al Gharib and Baqaa Daw 13. After taking a brief hiatus from television in 2020, she made a celebrated return with the series Souq Al Haramia, which premiered on January 19. Along with her artistic legacy, she leaves behind a devoted husband and a young daughter, ensuring her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her admirers and loved ones.
