Meghan Markle is ‘upset’ over Kate Middleton ‘tension’ and ‘won’t forgive’ her

Rumors of strained relations between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have recently surfaced, with reports suggesting that Meghan is “upset” over the alleged tension and may not seek reconciliation.

The backdrop to these rumors is Prince Harry’s return to the UK this week without Meghan, raising questions about the dynamics within the Royal Family.

Speculation about the relationship between Meghan, 42, and her sister-in-law Kate, 41, has been a topic of intrigue for some time. Prince Harry’s solo visit to the UK has only intensified this scrutiny.

It has been reported that Meghan declined to accompany her husband, sparking conjecture that she is distancing herself from the Royal Family, further fueling the perceived tension with Kate.

A source shared insights with Closer, stating, “Meghan was particularly upset over the tension between her and Kate.”

They revealed that Meghan had once held hopes of forging a “great friendship” with her sister-in-law but now finds herself “disappointed” with the state of their relationship.

“She felt there was so much potential for a great friendship, which is why she holds a lot more disappointment towards everything that happened. She said she’s now just going to dust herself off, have closure, and move forward, without ever having or expecting a reconciliation,” the source explained.

The source also mentioned that Meghan has no intention of reconciling with Kate or any other members of the royal family. Although Prince Harry understands her perspective, he is reportedly heartbroken that he must navigate these familial trips alone.

Tensions between Meghan and Kate reportedly emerged before Meghan’s marriage to Prince Harry in 2018, with disputes over flower girl dresses adding to the strain. Meghan addressed these events during her interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, saying, “A few days before [the] wedding, she was upset about something [related to] flower-girl dresses, and it made me cry.”

Meghan’s comments about Kate and her husband, Prince William, 41, in the Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” released last year, also raised eyebrows. Some interpreted her remarks as criticism of the couple’s formality when she recounted her initial meetings with them, saying, “I was a hugger. I’ve always been a hugger, I didn’t realize that that is really jarring for a lot of Brits.”

Further strains were implied in Prince Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” published earlier this year. In it, he claimed that Meghan had offended Kate and Prince William by suggesting that Kate had “baby brain.”

The source told Closer that Meghan was “adamant” about not returning to the UK this week, emphasizing her apparent determination to distance herself from the Royal Family.

The source also alleged that Meghan and Prince Harry were upset that the family did not acknowledge her birthday last month, considering it the “straw that broke the camel’s back” for Meghan.

These reports have once again placed the spotlight on the dynamics within the Royal Family, leaving many curious about the future of relations between Meghan, Kate, and the broader royal circle.
