Prince Harry’s Intervention Leads Meghan to Delay Her Autobiography Release

Meghan Markle has reportedly decided to postpone the release of her autobiography, fearing it could provoke a wave of negativity and further strain her relationship with the Royal Family. The Duchess of Sussex had been in the process of writing her memoir to provide her perspective on her time within the royal institution, aiming to “set the record straight.” However, it is rumored that Prince Harry played a decisive role in halting her plans, as he seeks to mend fences with his divided family.

PR expert Ryan McCormick weighed in on the situation, offering his insights to The Mirror. He commended Harry’s decision from a public relations standpoint, stating that it was a wise move to prevent Meghan’s book from potentially exacerbating tensions within the family. McCormick expressed doubts about the long-term success of Meghan’s book, suggesting that while it might initially generate interest, it could eventually contribute to a more negative perception of her.

McCormick explained, “Would another book by Meghan revealing new tales from Buckingham Palace be successful? I think it will be in the short term. However, in the long term, I can see it fanning the flames of negative sentiment towards Meghan.” Amidst these concerns, it appears that Harry and Meghan have reached a compromise regarding the content of Meghan’s literary endeavor.

A source, speaking to New magazine, shed light on this agreement, stating, “They eventually compromised so that Meghan could work on a book about female empowerment.” Instead of delving into contentious topics and potentially taking “fresh swipes at the Royal Family,” Meghan’s forthcoming book will focus on her advocacy for women’s empowerment, highlighting her efforts in championing this cause.
