Meghan Markle Adopts a Tactical Approach as ‘Mouthpiece’ in Dealing with the Feud Between Prince Harry and Camilla

In his book “Endgame,” author Omid Scobie, known for his close association with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, notably refrains from deeply engaging with the complex relationship between Prince Harry and Queen Camilla. This approach contrasts with the more direct stance Harry takes in his memoir, “Spare.”

Royal commentator Gareth Russell, in a conversation with GB News, delved into the differing portrayals of King Charles’ wife in these two books. He observed that while “Spare” paints Camilla in a more negative light, with Prince Harry labeling her a “villain” and alleging she leaked Royal Family information to the British press, Scobie’s “Endgame” offers a more reserved characterization. Scobie describes the Queen Consort as someone who is “tolerated by the public but not universally accepted.”

Russell highlighted that the focus of “Endgame” is predominantly on the dynamics between Prince William and Prince Harry, along with the broader interplay between the Waleses and the Sussexes. As a result, Harry’s perspective on Camilla is not a central theme in Scobie’s narrative. In contrast, “Spare” appears to target Prince William and Queen Camilla more evenly, sometimes even emphasizing Camilla more, reflecting Harry’s viewpoint towards his stepmother.

Russell suggested that Scobie’s decision to not delve deeply into the relationship between Harry and Camilla might have been a strategic or tactful choice. This could imply that Queen Camilla was not a primary figure of interest for Scobie in the context of his book, or that he chose to approach the topic with more caution.

Overall, Scobie’s “Endgame” takes a different path compared to Prince Harry’s “Spare,” particularly in the way it addresses the sensitive topic of Queen Camilla. This difference underscores the varied perspectives and approaches in discussing the intricacies and relationships within the Royal Family.
