After ‘Fake Home’ Backlash, Meghan Markle Finally Reveals the Real Montecito Mansion

Meghan Markle has given royal fans something they’ve been waiting for — a proper peek inside the California home she shares with Prince Harry and their two children, Archie and Lilibet.

The Duchess of Sussex posted a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram, offering a rare glimpse of her private life in Montecito. Pictured with her dog Mia, Meghan shared a moment from a photoshoot for her new lifestyle brand, As Ever.

“This is our week @aseverofficial. BTS from the shoot at my house (Hi Mia!),” she wrote, giving followers a first look at the real backdrop of her life away from the cameras and public events.

The post is a big deal for fans who’ve followed Meghan’s journey closely. When her Netflix series With Love, Meghan was released, some viewers were disappointed to learn it was filmed at a rental property rather than her real home. Meghan explained at the time that it was a decision made to protect her family’s privacy, but not everyone understood it.

Now, with the launch of her new business, she seems ready to open up a little more.

Her latest project, As Ever, is a lifestyle brand that includes a selection of home and kitchen goods — all inspired by Meghan’s own tastes and personal experiences. The first drop features raspberry jam, honey, edible flower sprinkles, and baking mixes for cookies and crepes.

“I am so excited to introduce the As Ever collection to you this week,” she wrote in her brand’s newsletter, where she also shared the stories behind each product.

One of the most personal touches is a lemon ginger tea, made using lemons from her own garden. The crepes, meanwhile, are a nod to her travels through France in her younger years.

“I wanted to bring that memory and experience to you at home,” Meghan shared.

The whole brand feels very true to her — warm, thoughtful and rooted in the everyday joys of home life. While some celebrity lifestyle brands can feel a bit out of touch, Meghan’s approach is grounded in nostalgia, comfort, and a clear love for simple pleasures.

And by letting people see even just a small corner of her real home, she’s sending a message that this brand isn’t just a business — it’s personal.

The Instagram photo has already sparked plenty of excitement, not just because of the cute appearance by Mia the dog, but because it marks a shift in how Meghan connects with her audience. She’s doing it in her own way, slowly but surely letting fans into her world.

Whether you’re a longtime supporter or just curious about what goes on behind those Montecito gates, one thing is clear — Meghan’s latest move has people talking. And if this is just the beginning of As Ever, there’s likely plenty more to come.
