Meghan Markle’s popularity could lead to her becoming the ‘next Martha Stewart’

A royal author, Omid Scobie, has speculated about the potential future direction of Meghan Markle’s career in his new book, “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival.” Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020 with her husband Prince Harry, Meghan Markle has embarked on several business ventures, including deals with Netflix and Spotify. However, these partnerships have not fully materialized as planned.

In his book, Scobie suggests that Markle, a former actress, may not return to her lifestyle blog, The Tig, and might instead pursue independent business ventures separate from Prince Harry. He likens her potential career trajectory to that of Gwyneth Paltrow, who founded the lifestyle brand Goop.

However, Scobie indicates that Markle’s endeavors may not focus on selling products but could involve something more accessible and rooted in her interests in curating, hosting, and family life. He even raises the possibility of her following a path similar to Martha Stewart, who has successfully diversified her career into television, business, and authorship.

Despite the speculations, Scobie acknowledges the uncertainty surrounding Markle’s future projects. In discussions with People Magazine close to Meghan and Harry, he notes a general sentiment that their departure from the royal family has not been as smooth as anticipated, emphasizing the need for them to define their purpose moving forward.

Prince Harry, on the other hand, is reportedly upset about remarks made by Graydon Carter, the former editor of Vanity Fair. Carter suggested in an interview with The Sunday Times that the royal couple’s marriage might not be long-lasting, commenting on Meghan’s alleged influence over Harry and questioning the longevity of their union. Carter’s comments have reportedly not been well-received by Prince Harry, adding another layer of complexity to the ongoing narrative surrounding the couple’s post-royal life.
