Princess Kate ‘Incredibly Worried’ About New Series Mirroring Meghan and Harry’s Storylines, Source Reveals

Kate Middleton has faced another challenge upon learning about Omid Scobie’s new project, “Royal Spin,” a fictional series centered around an American press agent working at Buckingham Palace. While the show is fictional, its alleged similarities to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s story have raised concerns, especially for Princess Kate, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment.

A source close to the couple revealed to Closer Magazine that the Princess of Wales is “incredibly worried” about potential storylines in the series, while Prince William has tried to reassure her that the public will see through any inaccuracies.

“The synopsis of the show mirrors Meghan and Harry’s story while hiding behind the guise of a fictional drama, and Kate is incredibly worried about potential storylines,” the source said.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have previously used various platforms, including interviews, their Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” and Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare,” to share their experiences, often in ways that have embarrassed the Waleses. This history heightens Kate’s anxiety about the forthcoming show, which she fears may contain indirect references to her or William’s life.

“Ever since Kate and William were told that the show had been bought by Universal, they’ve been caught up in a fresh wave of panic and dread about the impending bombshells and claims,” the source continued. “It’s presented as fiction, but that doesn’t stop the possibility of some storylines being close to the knuckle and hinting at actual rows.”

The insider further explained that the couple worries the series could still serve as a brutal exposé, with William particularly concerned about the impact on Kate’s health. “William worries that Kate simply can’t take anymore,” the insider added, emphasizing that he has reassured her, saying, “The public will see straight through it just like always.”

As the premiere of “Royal Spin” approaches, the couple remains on edge, bracing for potential controversies that the show might stir up, while relying on their faith in the public’s discernment to weather yet another storm in their highly scrutinized lives.
