Delays for Meghan Markle’s Podcast as Production Company Faces Challenges

Meghan Markle’s anticipated podcast relaunch has been delayed due to early struggles faced by her production partner, Lemonada. The Duchess of Sussex initially teamed up with Lemonada to expand her podcasting ventures, citing her passion for the medium.

A source in California relayed to Richard Eden that the Duchess’s podcast, “Archetypes,” which was supposed to re-launch in 2024, is now postponed to 2025. This delay is attributed to the nascent podcast company’s difficulty in gaining momentum, as reported by Richard Eden of Mail Online.

The launch is strategically being timed to not clash with the Duchess’s new television series, which is part of a broader $100 million deal with Netflix involving two series. While Meghan’s series focuses on lifestyle themes such as cooking, gardening, and entertaining, Prince Harry’s will delve into the world of professional polo, shared by Mirror.

The new launch schedule is also considering potential conflicts with Meghan’s newly introduced lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. This brand, launched in March, encompasses a luxury lifestyle theme with its dedicated website and social media presence.

Despite the delay, there is significant anticipation for Meghan’s podcast, which previously featured high-profile guests such as Mariah Carey and Mindy Kaling. The first iteration of “Archetypes” saw substantial success with over 10 million downloads and nearly a million listens per episode. Meghan expressed enthusiasm for the relaunch, emphasizing her support for Lemonada, a female-founded company, and her commitment to making the podcast accessible to a wider audience.
