Three Masked Men Use Grinder to Steal Cash from Safe at Forkhill Filling Station
In Forkhill, a daring burglary at a local filling station has prompted a police investigation. The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday, January 12th, between 1:45 am and 3:30 am on Carrickasticken Road.
The perpetrators, three men wearing face masks and hoods, forcefully entered the kiosk situated in the station’s forecourt. Using a grinder, they breached the safe, making away with a substantial sum of money. The audacity and preparedness of the crime, involving the use of a grinder to access the safe, have raised concerns in the community.
Sergeant Scott McBride, overseeing the investigation, has issued a public appeal for assistance. “Our investigation is actively ongoing, and we urge anyone with information, especially those with mobile phone, CCTV, or dash-cam footage from the area around the time of the crime, to come forward,” he stated.
