Man Marries ‘Trophy Wife’ 29 Years Younger, But Her £4K-a-Month Demand Shocks Everyone

Alyssa Armoogam, 30, met her husband, Mark, 59, on a dating app with a clear vision: she wanted an older, financially stable partner who shared her values. Fast forward two years and the Miami-based influencer is happily married, raising a family, spreading a message about self-worth, and setting boundaries in relationships.

Alyssa’s journey began after moving to Florida in 2018, following a difficult breakup. Determined to find a partner who met her expectations, she set specific criteria for her dates, including faith, attentiveness, and financial stability. Her first question to potential matches was, “How do you feel about Jesus?” Mark’s unexpected answer—“I toured the country talking about him”—immediately intrigued her.

Her next requirement? Covering her babysitter costs. “If a dude is going to argue with me about $45 for a babysitter, he’s not worth my time,” she said. Mark didn’t just cover the babysitter—he handed her $300 after their first date and later sent her $2,000 to ensure exclusivity. “I loved it because I felt he had made it 100 percent clear how he felt about me,” Alyssa said to Daily Star.

With Mark’s support, Alyssa put a deposit on an apartment for herself and her daughter, Ziya, now 11, whom Mark later adopted. Their relationship flourished, and after two years, Mark proposed. The couple tied the knot in 2022 and welcomed their son, Keanu, the same year.

Alyssa describes their marriage as a true partnership. “Anything I want to pursue, I can do it. Any dream I have is shared and any desire is met,” she explained. Although she no longer receives a $1,000 weekly allowance, Alyssa enjoys Mark’s romantic gestures, from designer handbags to shopping sprees.

“He’s such a Pisces. He’s very romantic,” Alyssa said. “He takes me shopping and buys me a Louis Vuitton. That’s his normal behavior. That’s him romancing me.”

Despite their 29-year age gap, Alyssa brushes off criticism and assumptions about their relationship. “When people talk to me, they see how much love I pour into my family. There’s no question of why we’re together. Age—what does it matter if our souls align?”

Alyssa is now working on a clothing line for breastfeeding women and considering a course called “Dating Like a Trophy Wife,” encouraging women to recognize their worth and set standards in relationships. “Women are not realizing their worth,” she said. “That’s what made me feel firm on my requirements.”
