Radio star Lynne Hoggan Rushed to Hospital after Major brain scare

Popular Scottish radio presenter Lynne Hoggan is currently in hospital recovering from a serious brain haemorrhage, as confirmed by her sister-in-law in a heartfelt Instagram update.
Lynne, who’s a familiar voice from Clyde 1, Forth 1, Tay FM, North Sound, and MFR, suddenly fell ill last week. After being rushed to hospital, doctors discovered a “sizeable” brain bleed caused by two aneurysms. She’s since undergone urgent surgery and had stents fitted, but her recovery journey is far from over, reported the Mirror.
Her sister-in-law Rachel shared the news with Lynne’s 11,500 Instagram followers, saying she was posting on Lynne’s behalf and with her permission. “I appreciate a lot of you have been messaging Lynne and wondering where she has been lately,” Rachel wrote. “Unfortunately, a week ago she took unwell and it turned out to be a sizeable bleed on the brain which was two aneurysms.”
She went on to explain that Lynne is now receiving the best possible care but will remain in the hospital for some time. “She has now had surgery and stents put in her brain and is recovering,” Rachel added. “Lynne still has a long way to go and will be in hospital for a while and is unable to communicate properly at the moment.”
Messages of love and support have flooded in from fans and colleagues alike. DJ Robin Galloway, one of her former radio co-hosts, was among the first to react: “Shocked to hear this news. Radio and life needs Lynne Hoggan on it and in it. Praying for a full and speedy recovery. A special talent and cherished friend.”
Other supporters echoed the sentiment, sending their love to Lynne and her family and offering help and warm wishes for her healing. Even broadcaster Laura Woods showed her support by liking the post.
Lynne, originally from Dundee, began her radio career in 1999 and has since become a well-known voice across Scotland. Her lively presence and connection with fans have built her a strong social media following, where she often shares glimpses of her life. Just before falling ill, she posted a snapshot-filled update reflecting on her year so far.
Now, as she rests and focuses on recovery, Lynne’s fans and friends continue to cheer her on with hopes for a smooth and full recovery.
