Mother of Three Lynn Schwentke Dies En Route to London for 40th Birthday Celebration

A mother of three, Lynn Schwentke, tragically passed away during a trip to London to celebrate her 40th birthday. Lynn, from Chatham, Kent, had been on her way to the capital with her mother after the milestone celebration when she suddenly fell ill. After stopping at her sister’s home and vomiting, Lynn started feeling better and insisted on continuing their journey to attend a book signing by her favorite actor, Sam Heughan.

However, the situation took a devastating turn as Lynn began to experience a fit. Her medically-trained mother, Athina, who was 61 years old, immediately initiated CPR while emergency services were called. Despite the frantic efforts of paramedics, Lynn, a mother of three boys aged 20, nine, and three, passed away with her mother by her side.

Ambulance crews rushed Lynn to the hospital and worked tirelessly for 90 minutes, but she sadly suffered a cardiac arrest and ultimately succumbed at Medway Maritime Hospital. Described as “the rock” of the family, Lynn’s sudden death has left a significant void in the lives of her close-knit family, told Mirror.

Lynn’s brother, Kevin, has set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds for her funeral expenses. He, along with Lynn’s family and friends, paid tribute to her, highlighting her compassionate and strong nature. Kevin mentioned that Lynn had a heart “as big as the universe.”

Athina expressed her feelings of helplessness during the tragic incident, initially thinking it was an asthma attack or a trapped nerve in Lynn’s back. She described Lynn as an “amazing” person with a beautiful smile, emphasizing her strength.

Lynn’s family and friends had recently organized a surprise birthday party for her, and she had also traveled to Nottingham to watch a live wrestling match. The GoFundMe page has been set up to assist with funeral costs, and any surplus funds will be directed towards supporting Lynn’s three children. Those interested in contributing can donate to the family’s GoFundMe page provided in the news article.
