Lorraine Kelly’s ‘The Female Boss’ Tattoo Shocks Viewers

Lorraine Kelly surprised her ITV audience on Wednesday morning (November 20) by debuting what appeared to be a bold new tattoo. During her self-titled program, the presenter revealed an intricate design on the back of her right arm that read “The Female Boss.” But the dramatic reveal wasn’t quite what it seemed.

Addressing viewers’ puzzled reactions, Lorraine confessed the tattoo was temporary, created as a playful homage to I’m A Celebrity star Tulisa Contostavlos, who famously sports the same phrase on her arm. “I obviously got one this morning,” Lorraine joked, teasing that the process was “a little bit painful, but it was worth it in the end.”

The light-hearted moment was a nod to Tulisa’s iconic ink, which she proudly displayed during her stint as a judge on ITV’s The X Factor. Lorraine’s fake tattoo echoed Tulisa’s bold image, as the singer currently tackles challenges in the jungle on this year’s I’m A Celeb.

For those wondering about its inspiration, Lorraine tied the temporary tattoo reveal to a recent clip of Prince Harry flaunting his own temporary tattoo in support of the Invictus Games. “All is not quite what it seems,” Lorraine said with a laugh, before playfully speculating about royal tattoos. “I don’t think he’s allowed to get a tattoo! Do you reckon any of the Royal family has a tattoo?”

Tulisa’s original tattoo, which became her trademark, wasn’t without its controversies. During her time on The X Factor, she faced criticism from viewers who believed the tattoo doubled as a subtle advertisement for her perfume of the same name. The backlash even sparked an investigation by Ofcom, resulting in Tulisa being required to cover the ink during the show.

Despite the scrutiny, Tulisa defended her tattoo at the time, stating, “I was showing off my tattoo long before The X Factor. It’s always been my trademark and it’s always been my nickname.”

Fast forward to today, Tulisa’s return to the spotlight on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has delighted fans. The singer brought back her iconic pose, showcasing her signature confidence in the show’s intro and proving she hasn’t lost her edge.

Lorraine’s playful tribute not only acknowledged Tulisa’s distinctive style but also added a touch of humor to her morning program. Whether temporary or not, the bold tattoo gave viewers a reason to smile—and a reminder of Tulisa’s enduring influence.

As for Lorraine, her cheeky commentary and daring reveal once again cemented her reputation for being one of TV’s most relatable and entertaining hosts.
