King Charles Open to Reconciliation with Prince Harry, Hopes to See More of Grandchildren

King Charles is reportedly open to the possibility of reconciling with his estranged son, Prince Harry, as he longs to spend more time with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. According to royal author Phil Dampier, the King would like to reconnect with the Duke of Sussex, especially given his limited interactions with the children.

Dampier shared with The Sun, “I think obviously the King would like to have a reconciliation with his son at some point. Not the least because he’d like to see more of his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet.” He added that the King has only met Archie and Lilibet a few times, calling the situation “tragic.” However, Dampier suggested that any progress toward reconciliation might be delayed until the King feels well enough to handle potentially stressful situations.

Meanwhile, sources close to Prince Harry have indicated that the Duke would only consider returning to the royal fold if his brother, Prince William, offered him an apology. This ongoing tension between the brothers has been a significant factor in Harry’s distance from the family.

Despite the rift, insiders have hinted that Harry may still be open to assisting the royal family in a temporary capacity if requested by the King. While a full reconciliation may take time, the possibility of Harry stepping in to “help out” remains, provided certain conditions are met.
