King Charles’s Latest Documentary Excludes Interviews with Princes William and Harry

In the upcoming documentary about King Charles, set to premiere on Boxing Day, both Prince William and Prince Harry are notably absent from the list of interviewees. The documentary, which delves into the life and coronation year of King Charles, deliberately focuses on the King, as per the decision of the Prince of Wales’s household.

Despite Prince Harry’s journey from Montecito to participate in the Coronation, he does not appear in the documentary. This absence is significant, given that the documentary covers not only the rehearsals but also the events of the Coronation day itself.

Prince Harry, aged 39, traveled from his home in California to London for his father’s Coronation, returning to the United States immediately after to reunite with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Princess Anne, however, does feature in the documentary. She offers a poignant perspective on the final days of Queen Elizabeth II, revealing how the late Queen chose to step back from the decision-making process concerning her demise. This decision, Anne explains, was made to ease the burden on officials in the event of her passing at Balmoral.

At 73, Princess Anne reflects on her visit to Balmoral before her mother’s death, describing it as “serendipity” and expressing a sense of relief when the Imperial State Crown was removed from the Queen’s coffin, symbolizing King Charles’s ascension as the head of the Royal Family. She poignantly comments on her mother’s thoughts about her final days, noting the Queen’s concern about the complications of her passing away at Balmoral.
