Kaye Adams Opens Up About Grief While Gino D’Acampo Stirs Controversy on Loose Women

In an emotional episode of Loose Women, Kaye Adams shared her deeply personal experience of coping with Christmas after the loss of her parents. The 61-year-old panelist spoke candidly about how the holiday season changed for her family after her father’s passing, revealing how they had to “reinvent” their traditions.

“I think you kind of have to reinvent it,” Kaye explained. “Like similar to you, I’ve lost both my mum and my dad, and Christmas was always, always at their house. The first one after my dad died, we just kind of slept walked through it”, reported by OK! Magazine.

Describing the emotional toll, Kaye added, “We went through the motions. We were kind of anaesthetised to the whole thing. You did it, because it felt like a big thing to ignore it, but like I say, we were sleepwalking. But in the years since, you’ve just got to reinvent it. Because it was so much associated with them. For us, we just had to have a different thing.”

Kaye’s heartfelt reflection struck a chord with viewers, many praising her openness about the challenge of managing grief during the holidays.

Adding a lighthearted twist to the episode, TV chef Gino D’Acampo joined the show, promoting his new cookbook and sparking a playful controversy. Known for his cheeky humor, Gino addressed the supposed “no kissing” rule for the panelists.

“They told me ‘please don’t kiss the ladies on the table,’ but what kind of Italian would come on the show without kissing the ladies? The rules are rubbish,” he joked, much to the panel’s amusement.

Co-host Kelly Brook teased Gino, suggesting his affectionate on-screen greetings could cost him his job. Gino, clearly unfazed, retorted, “What, for a kiss?”

The chef’s antics drew mixed reactions on social media. Some viewers found his humor refreshing, with one tweeting, “#LooseWomen Gino being so careful with his innuendo today.” Others felt the exchange was awkward, with one remarking, “That was very awkward… #LooseWomen.”

The episode balanced heartfelt discussions about grief with moments of levity, leaving fans touched by Kaye’s vulnerability and entertained by Gino’s signature wit.
