Kate Middleton’s Heartfelt Letter to Mother of Sick Child Reveals Her Views on Mental Health Amid Cancer News

Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has temporarily stepped back from her royal duties due to her ongoing cancer treatment, but that hasn’t stopped her from connecting with those in need of support. In a touching gesture, the future Queen recently sent a heartfelt letter to Kirsty Kerr, whose six-year-old daughter Isla is living with coeliac disease.

Kirsty, who had written to Princess Kate to share the struggles her daughter faces with her condition, was moved to tears upon receiving the royal letter just two weeks ago. Isla’s coeliac disease requires her to follow a strict diet, and as a result, she often feels different from her friends and lacks the same energy.

In response, Princess Kate expressed her concern and encouragement in a thoughtful letter. “Thank you very much for your letter to The Princess of Wales in connection with the Early Years,” the letter began. “I was very sorry to learn about the difficulties that your daughter has experienced, but it was heartening to learn of the progress that Isla has made.”

The Princess also praised Kirsty for her commitment to her daughter’s well-being, calling her efforts “truly admirable.” The letter, shared by Hello! Magazine concluded with, “The Princess of Wales would have me send her very best wishes to you and your family,” and was signed by the Head of Royal Correspondence.

This letter comes at a time when Princess Kate herself is facing a personal battle, having stepped back from royal duties after announcing in March her diagnosis of an undisclosed form of cancer. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy as part of her treatment plan. Despite her own challenges, Princess Kate continues to offer kindness and support to those in need, demonstrating her deep sense of compassion even during her own difficult journey.

Speaking to Life & Style, they added: “Ideally, she’d like to be back to her old schedule, but it’s going to take time for her to get there.” The source said Kate has been encouraged to take things “slow and steady.”
