Kate Middleton May Defy Prince William with Christmas Olive Branch to Harry and Meghan

Kate Middleton is reportedly considering a major move this Christmas that could defy her husband Prince William by reaching out to his estranged brother, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle.

A former royal butler has revealed that the Princess of Wales may take the initiative to reconnect with the Sussexes, despite William’s ongoing mistrust and reluctance to reconcile.

According to GB News, King Charles’s former butler, Grant Harrold, believes that Kate may extend an olive branch in the form of a FaceTime call to Harry and Meghan during the holiday season. He said, “I believe that Catherine will reach out to Harry and Meghan and wish them a Happy Christmas, and I think Harry and Meghan themselves will possibly reach out.”

Kate’s potential gesture comes as she reportedly reflects on the importance of family bonds amid her cancer treatment, which has provided her with a new perspective. Despite the strained relationships, Kate appears eager to let go of the past and encourage unity between the two brothers and their families.

Harrold added, “If there’s any point in the year that the families are going to communicate or touch base, it’s going to be over Christmas – there’s something magical about Christmas that gets families back together.”

However, this move could create tension between Kate and William. The Prince of Wales remains deeply hurt and distrustful of Harry following the release of Harry’s memoir, Spare, which exposed private conversations and added fuel to the ongoing feud.

A source told New Idea, “William is still likely to feel very angry and betrayed [by Harry].” This lingering resentment may explain William’s opposition to any attempt at reconciliation, as he struggles to move past the couple’s public criticisms of the Royal Family.

Kate’s willingness to reach out, despite William’s stance, highlights her role as a bridge-builder within the family. The insider believes both sides may recognize the value of moving forward into the new year with renewed connections.

While a potential FaceTime call may be a small step, it could mark a turning point in the strained relationship between the Sussexes and the Royal Family. Whether this gesture will bring the families closer together or create further discord remains to be seen, but Kate’s efforts to prioritize peace and family unity continue to shine through.
