Why Did Kate Middleton Chose to ‘Rise Above’ Meghan Markle’s Claims?

The Duchess of Cambridge has coped with the fallout between Princes William and Harry by “rising above it”, a Royal expert has claimed. Despite being personally criticised in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Oprah Winfrey interview, Kate Middleton has chosen to ignore the hurtful comments and is acting as peacemaker between the brothers.

ED! reports how Royal commentator Camilla Tominey believes Kate is “putting her best foot forward” and striving to reunite the feuding siblings.

“Despite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Oprah Winfrey interview, when Kate was accused of making Meghan cry during a bridesmaid’s dress fitting and failing to support her, Kate rose decidedly above it all,” Tominey penned in Stella magazine.

“Setting aside any personal resentment she may still feel about Harry and Meghan’s televised two-hour tell-all, Kate put her best foot forward in trying to carve a path to reconciliation between the brothers.”

She added: “Few would have blamed her for giving Harry the cold shoulder, yet she clearly resolved that the situation needed to be appeased rather than aggravated. It was a deft move that shows the Duchess is not overawed by all that’s going on.”

Kate reportedly tried to make up with Meghan by giving her flowers. The Daily Mail reported that Meghan threw the flowers in the rubbish bin while the Times claimed she slammed the door in Kate’s face.

Meghan told Oprah: “And I don’t say that to be disparaging to anyone, because it was a really hard week of the wedding, and she was upset about something. But she owned it, and she apologised, and she brought me flowers and a note apologising.”

Another Royal commentator, Christopher Wilson, told the magazine that he believed Kate’s decision to start up a conversation with Harry, which resulted in the Duke chatting one-on-one with William as the family walked away from the St George’s Chapel service, was a spur of the moment event.

He said: “I thought it was entirely spontaneous and clever in making the two brothers talk to each other. It was a deft move that shows the Duchess is not overawed by all that’s going on.”

Kate was always extremely close to Harry, and he once described her as the sister he never had. When Harry was living at Kensington Palace he spent a lot of time at the Cambridges’ apartment, and Kate would often cook him dinner.
