Kate Middleton: ‘My Medical Team Advised Preventative Chemotherapy’ – Royal Update on Princess of Wales’ Health”
0The Princess of Wales, formerly known as Kate Middleton, publicly revealed in a video message on March 22 that doctors discovered she had cancer following abdominal surgery. In the video, the Princess stated: “It was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team, therefore, advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy… My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy, and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now, I must focus on making a full recovery.”
Kate was widely applauded for her transparency in revealing her diagnosis to the world. Now, a royal commentator has explained why the Palace has “not ruled out” the possibility of the Princess releasing a second video with an update on her health before she makes her first major public appearance.
In late May, People reported that the Princess was spotted running errands with her family for the first time since disclosing her diagnosis, leading many to wonder if she would soon return to royal duties. While the Palace has not provided a specific timetable, multiple reports suggest that Kate will resume her work in the fall.
During an appearance on GB News, Kinsey Schofield, host of the “To Di for Daily” podcast, discussed the Princess’s return. Schofield explained that she has been told Kate is “improving,” but Prince William’s wife might not be seen at any public engagements until autumn.
According to Schofield’s sources, “The Princess of Wales will probably not appear in public until the autumn and is being surrounded by her birth family as she continues a course of preventative chemotherapy. The Wales family, along with the Middletons, are expected to spend next week at their home on the Sandringham Estate.”
Schofield added that both families have been doing “everything in their power” to “spare the Princess from any stress or anxiety” while she rests at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor and now the Sandringham Estate.
There is a concern that if Kate is not seen in public for several months, wild speculation about her health and whereabouts could resurface. Schofield claims this might prompt the Palace to consider having the Princess release another video to update the public on her health status.
“When The Daily Beast asked their Palace source how the Palace would deal with the inevitable resurgence of conspiracy theories, they said they would not rule out another video message updating the country on her health,” Schofield noted.
As Schofield pointed out, the initial video proved to be a very effective way of quelling conspiracy theories and maintaining public support and understanding during the Princess’s recovery.
