The company announced that it is introducing “the biggest range of menswear brands available to rent on the high street,” including notable names like Boss Tailoring and Charles Tyrwhitt.
This expansion builds on John Lewis’s ongoing partnership with rental technology firm Hurr. The collaboration began with the launch of the womenswear rental service in 2022, which has seen a 52 percent year-on-year increase in membership. The service has since expanded to include maternity wear, ski wear, and wedding dresses. Now, menswear is the latest addition to the rental offering.
Kathleen Mitchell, John Lewis’s commercial director, highlighted the uniqueness of their high street rental service. “We’re unique on the high street to be able to offer the widest range of multiple brands to rent from everyday suits to more premium brands and styles. A perfect solution for a last-minute dinner party or day at the races. This is just the beginning of menswear rental and we’re really excited to see it grow,” she said.
The new men’s rental service aims to provide a flexible and convenient option for consumers looking to rent high-quality menswear for various occasions. Rental prices start from £40 for a four-day rental, with options to extend the rental period to either eight, 16, or 30 days.
