Catwoman Jocelyn Wildenstein’s Partner Lloyd Klein Reveals Heartbreaking Details of Her Tragic Death at 84

Fashion designer Lloyd Klein has shared the heartbreaking details of finding his fiancée, Swiss socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein, peacefully passed away at age 84 on New Year’s Eve, reported by the Sun. Known as “Catwoman” for her feline-inspired cosmetic surgeries, Wildenstein’s death came as a tragic surprise while the couple napped in anticipation of ringing in the New Year together.

“She died in her sleep very peacefully,” Klein told People. He recounted the devastating moment, saying, “It’s extremely sad to lay down with your other half that I’ve known for 21 years, waiting to celebrate New Year’s Eve, and to find her cold.”

Klein explained that Wildenstein suffered from phlebitis, a condition that causes blood clots and can lead to blocked veins. According to the Mayo Clinic, this condition can result in oxygen deprivation in the brain, which Klein believes contributed to her sudden passing. “Because of her phlebitis, the legs were very, very swollen, and the blood was blocked,” he shared, according to the Daily Mail.

Reflecting on the evening, Klein described how they had enjoyed a “nice happy hour” before their nap. “We took a little nap just to look good before getting dressed,” he said. However, when he tried to wake her, he discovered she had passed away. “I said, ‘Jocelyn, we have to wake up, we have to get dressed,’ and she was cold and she was dead.”

Despite her health condition, Klein emphasized that Wildenstein had been in great spirits and appeared to be in excellent health during their holiday celebrations in Paris. “We were at the Ritz two days ago, having dinner,” he said. “Before that, we had come for Fashion Week at Chanel. Everything was good, everything was good.”

Describing their recent time together, Klein noted how happy and radiant she had been. “She was very happy, at the top of her game. Two months ago, she attended the Chanel show. Everyone welcomed her with red carpet treatment. Paparazzi were following us. Everything was at the top.”

The couple, who had been engaged since 2017, shared a deep bond, and Klein described her passing as an unimaginable loss. “It’s very sad. It’s extremely sad,” he repeated. Wildenstein’s vibrant final days and legacy as a socialite leave a lasting impact on those who knew and admired her.
