Jasmine Harman Faces Spain’s Deadly Floods While Fans Rally Behind Her

Jasmine Harman, beloved presenter of A Place in the Sun, has received an outpouring of support from fans as she navigates Spain’s recent severe weather while filming for the Channel 4 series. The 48-year-old took to social media to share her experiences of the torrential rain and thunderstorms that have battered parts of the country.

In a series of Instagram updates, Jasmine revealed she had received weather alerts for her location, and a thunderstorm began as she spoke to her followers. “That is so loud,” she remarked, sharing clips of the heavy downpour from the safety of her shelter, reported by Hello! magazine.

In her caption, she wrote, “Given the catastrophic weather Spain has endured recently, alerts like this are really quite unnerving. Fingers crossed it doesn’t get too bad! What’s it looking like back in good old Blighty today?”

Fans quickly flooded her comments with messages of concern and well wishes. One follower wrote, “Hope that you and your family are all safe and well during the storms in southern Spain.” Another added, “My thoughts are with you and your family, stay safe,” while a third commented, “Hoping nothing happens where you are lovely, truly shocking the devastation caused so far.”

The presenter’s year has already been marked by difficulty, following the heartbreaking death of her close friend and fellow A Place in the Sun presenter, Jonnie Irwin, from cancer in February. Jasmine spoke emotionally about Jonnie during a Loose Women appearance in May, where she broke down in tears. “You never know what’s around the corner, and I think Jonnie’s situation… we can all take something from it,” she said as she wiped her tears.

She added, “We can all cherish every day and live with as much joy as possible, and that’s what he did.” After Jonnie’s passing, Jasmine paid a heartfelt tribute to her co-star, writing on social media: “Jonnie, you’ve taught me so much in our time as work colleagues and as good friends. I’ve never admired you more than over the last few years as you’ve faced life with cancer with positivity, determination, and bloody-mindedness. I’ve never known anyone as strong as you.”

As Jasmine continues to film in Spain amid challenging weather, her fans remain steadfast in their support, sending her love and encouragement during this difficult time.
