Strictly Come Dancing’s Janette Manrara Gets Emotional Watching Husband Aljaz Return After Two-Year Absence
0BBC Strictly Come Dancing’s Janette Manrara has opened up about her husband Aljaz Skorjanec’s return to the ballroom after a two-year absence, as well as her new hosting role on It Takes Two
BBC Strictly Come Dancing’s Janette Manrara has made it clear that despite her husband Aljaz Skorjanec dancing up a storm this season, she won’t be showing any favouritism. Currently hosting ‘It Takes Two’, Janette insists on staying impartial.
Joining The One Show, alongside Fleur East, Janette was probed by hosts Alex Scott and Roman Kemp regarding Aljaz’s participation. Roman inquired specifically about her support for Aljaz, asking: “Janette, I know someone you’ll be cheering on. Aljaz, of course. Is it nice to see him back out there? “.
Janette replied candidly, saying: “It is incredible to see him back on the show, but I’ll be honest, I am not allowed favourites as host of It Takes Two, so I’m going to be looking at him the same way as I look at any other professional and celebrity on the show.”
She went on with a sparkle in her eye, bringing up their daughter: “It is nice to have him on the telly.”
Then, in a tender moment, she conveyed: “I tell you it was really nice to watch him with Lyra. I had tears in my eyes because it was just so special to sit with our daughter, watching Daddy on the telly doing what he loves to do. It was amazing.”, reports the Mirror.
Aljaz is poised for an exhilarating return to the Strictly Come Dancing stage and joining him for a stunning comeback is none other than professional dancer Amy Dowden, following her courageous cancer battle. In conversation with radio host Roman Kemp, Janette Manrara was full of praise for Amy: “Amy is such an incredible woman, she has had Crohn’s her whole life and she’s dealt with that then she had to battle cancer, but she never gave up pushing and pushing and trying to get back onto that dance floor.”
Janette added remarks on Amy’s fervent dedication to dancing: “She’s meant to dance, she was born to dance, so for her to be able to come back and come back with a bang, this number was phenomenal. It is so special to have her back when every single person on the show is so excited.”
