Jane Moore Sparks Explosive Gender Debate in I’m A Celebrity Jungle Drama

Jane Moore, the Loose Women panellist, has brought her signature straight-talking style to the Australian jungle as part of this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! lineup. Despite a smooth start since entering alongside fellow stars like Coleen Rooney, Maura Higgins, and Oti Mabuse, Sunday’s episode (November 24) saw tensions rise as Jane clashed with camp leaders over daily chores.

The drama unfolded when newly elected camp leaders Barry McGuigan and Danny Jones assigned Jane, 62, and N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos, 36, to dishwashing duty, according to the Express. Jane’s response was sharp and immediate: “Is that because we’re women?”

Barry quickly denied any gender bias, explaining his reasoning by referencing her age: “We were looking at you for possible water, and I thought that you’re 62 years old, you’re a year younger than me…” However, Jane interrupted, calling the decision both “ageist and sexist.”

Clearly frustrated, she vented, “I have emptied the dunny, tended the fire on my own solidly for nine days, and you’ve given me the one job I don’t want.”

The fallout from the heated exchange has left Jane at risk of becoming the first celebrity eliminated from the jungle. Betting odds from Coral now place her at 5/4 to be the first to leave, a sharp drop compared to earlier predictions. Danny Jones, on the other hand, has surged in popularity, with odds of 5/6 to be crowned King of the Jungle.

“Our betting suggests Jane Moore is the most likely to be the unfortunate first contestant to leave the jungle this year,” said Coral spokesperson John Hill. Meanwhile, Melvin Odoom and Dean McCullough are the next most likely to exit, with odds of 5/2 and 3/1, respectively.

Elsewhere, Jane’s Loose Women co-star Ruth Langsford has been spotted heading to Australia, but not as a contestant. The former This Morning presenter is set to appear on the spinoff show Unpacked, offering behind-the-scenes insights into the jungle drama.

The stakes are high for Jane, who has already proven she’s not afraid to speak her mind. Whether her bold approach will endear her to viewers or lead to an early exit remains to be seen. One thing’s for sure: the jungle heat isn’t just from the weather.
