Strictly Come Dancing’s Jamie Borthwick Faces Tough Odds as Final Looms

As Strictly Come Dancing nears its grand finale, EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick, partnered with pro dancer Michelle Tsiakkas, faces a challenging setback in his bid for the Glitterball Trophy, reported by the Express. While the competition heats up, bookmakers suggest Jamie may not make it to the final, despite being an early favorite.

With the celebrity lineup narrowing each week, the spotlight shifts to frontrunners Chris McCausland, Sarah Hadland, and Tasha Ghouri. Current odds favor Chris as the top contender at 1/5, followed by Sarah at 1/3 and Tasha at 4/5. Jamie, however, has slipped to 6/4, raising doubts about his chances of reaching the final.

Mike Reading from Betway commented: “The latest odds to reach this year’s Strictly final make Chris McCausland and Sarah Hadland the strong frontrunners to dance their way into the last three. Tasha Ghouri is next in line at 4/5 to secure a final spot, but Jamie Borthwick isn’t far behind. We’ve shortened his odds to 6/4 to make it to the last weekend of the series”, reports Wales Online.

This weekend’s show will take place at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom, a highlight of the series. However, one duo will inevitably be eliminated, and the tension is palpable following last Sunday’s dance-off drama.

Opera singer Wynne Evans and his professional partner Katya Jones are tipped as the next to leave, with bookmakers making Wynne the odds-on favorite for elimination. “Wynne might be waltzing his way out of the competition this Sunday,” said Reading. “But he may find a lifeline in Pete Wicks, who comes next in the elimination odds. Pete will need to dazzle the judges with his Cha Cha to I’m Too Sexy by Right Said Fred if he wants to stay.”

Meanwhile, Chris McCausland and his partner Dianne Buswell continue to shine, cementing their status as top contenders with a heartfelt Couple’s Choice routine last week. “Chris solidified his position as the odds-on favorite to take home the Glitterball Trophy,” Reading added.

Still, Sarah Hadland remains a strong challenger. Her upcoming Couple’s Choice performance to Kylie Minogue’s Padam Padam could help her close the gap on Chris, keeping the competition unpredictable.

As the ballroom heats up and the finale inches closer, viewers eagerly await this weekend’s performances to see who will secure their spot in the final showdown.
