Vivienne’s Heartbroken Dad Finds Her Body Amid Shocking Claims She Lay Dead for Days

The Vivienne, a beloved Drag Race legend, tragically passed away at the age of 32 last weekend. New details about their death have emerged, with reports claiming that the star, real name James Lee Williams, was found by their “devastated” father after being dead for “a day or two.”

Police have confirmed that there are “no suspicious circumstances” surrounding the death. The news of The Vivienne’s passing was confirmed by a spokesperson, who expressed their “immense sadness” over the loss of such an “incredibly loved” person.

The Vivienne became a household name after winning the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2019. Their career took off following the victory, with James also competing on Dancing On Ice in 2023, where they finished in third place. However, tragedy struck when it was reported that The Vivienne was found dead by their father and stepmother on Sunday, January 5, a source alleged to The Sun.

According to a source close to the family, “Their devastated dad raised the alarm and believed they had passed away a day or two before being found.” The insider also shared that The Vivienne had big plans for the future, including moving into a new £400,000 house and going on tour. “They were planning a tour and really had everything to live for,” the source added.

In a statement confirming the death, a spokesperson expressed sorrow over the loss. “It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved James Lee Williams – The Vivienne, has passed this weekend,” the statement read. “James was an incredibly loved, warm-hearted, and amazing person.”

The statement continued: “Their family are heartbroken at the loss of their son, brother, and uncle. They are so proud of the wonderful things James achieved in their life and career. We will not be releasing any further details. We please ask that James’s family are given the time and privacy they now need to process and grieve.”

The Vivienne first gained recognition in 2015 when they became the UK Drag Ambassador for the American version of RuPaul’s Drag Race. They went on to win the first UK season of the show in 2019, famously lip-syncing to Wham’s “I’m Your Man.” The news of The Vivienne’s untimely passing has left the drag community and fans around the world in mourning.
