Prince Harry’s Ex Reveals Real Reason They Broke Up and It’s Rather Revealing…

Cressida Bonas is a British actress who was Prince Harry’s last serious girlfriend before he married Meghan Markle. Now, comments made by Bonas have resurfaced revealing more about why she and Harry broke up.

The Express reported that Cressida said it was “fear” that prevented her from marrying Harry and joining the British royal family.

“The fear of failing, the fear of rejection, the fear of not getting it right, the fear of not being perfect…. I think that has limited me in certain situations in my life,” she added.

Last year, Cressida expressed her relief at their decision to break up, which they did in such an amicable way that she was in attendance at his 2018 wedding to Meghan.

“I think I have grown confident and fortunately I have learned not to sweat the small stuff too much,” she said in 2020. “I just think it has definitely given me a stronger sense of purpose and a stronger sense of what I want or don’t.”

She would have likely been a heck of a lot better for Harry, but the “royal life” would have eaten her alive…

Cressida went on to say that she feared she would be known as an “it girl” forever because of her relationship with Harry, but she is hopeful that people will now recognize her more for her work in the acting world instead.

“I do think terms like that are very narrow-minded,” she said. “I think that I work very, very hard, I love what I do, and I just hope that this role has shown people what I can do and what I would like to do going forward and not be caught in a box in any way.”

Cressida was finally starting to make it in the acting world when COVID-19 shut everything down, but she is still hopeful for the future.

“It is one of those things, really, and I just hope that when it does reopen I can carry on doing it, as it is what I love doing,” she said.

This comes after royal expert Julie Montagu, Viscountess Hinchingbrooke, claimed that the reason that Harry and Meghan stepped down from royal life is the “exact same reason” that he split up with his previous two girlfriends, Cressida and Chelsy Davy. Harry also recently described his life between the ages of 28 and 32 as a “nightmare time” in terms of his anxiety around the press and royal duties, which overlaps with his relationship with Cressida.
