Prince Harry reveals his first ‘terrifying’ moment with King Charles ahead of prostate operation
0At the Living Legends of Aviation awards last week, Prince Harry captivated the audience with his humor, particularly with a light-hearted joke about his father, King Charles III. The Duke of Sussex took the opportunity to share an amusing anecdote about his father’s flying experience, humorously timed before King Charles’ upcoming prostate operation.
The moment unfolded when actor John Travolta, known for his aviation interests, inquired about Prince Harry’s first flying experience. Harry recalled a memorable helicopter flight from his childhood, involving his father. He recounted being about seven or eight years old when he flew in a Wessex Helicopter with the then Prince of Wales, Charles, told Mirror.
He humorously noted that the experience left him “terrified” when his father joined him in the helicopter. Attending the prestigious ceremony alone, without Meghan Markle, Prince Harry was recognized as a Living Legend. In his speech, he tactfully avoided mentioning his father’s recent health concerns, focusing instead on lighter subjects and his own aviation experiences.
John Travolta also shared a nostalgic moment, recalling when he first met a young Prince Harry and his mother, the late Diana, Princess of Wales, at a White House event. Harry humorously remarked to Travolta, “I was just a one-year-old when you danced with my mum at the White House, and now look at us. The only thing left to do is… not dance together but fly together.”
In a more private setting, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have reportedly extended their support to King Charles and the Princess of Wales amidst their health concerns. This gesture of solidarity comes despite the much-publicized complexities in their relationships with the royal family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s expression of concern and support underscores a continued connection and care for family members, despite any public differences.
