Prince Harry and Meghan Choose to Keep Royal Relatives’ Names Private

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly responded to controversial statements made by Omid Scobie in his book “Endgame,” which involves the royal family. According to a source speaking to The Sunday Mirror, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not wish for the names of their royal relatives to be disclosed publicly.

An insider emphasized that the alleged revelation of royal family members’ names in the Dutch version of Scobie’s book, particularly those involved in racially charged discussions about the couple’s son Archie’s skin color, did not come from Meghan’s circle.

Scobie, the royal biographer, faced accusations over these claims but countered them by attributing the issue to translation errors. In an interview on the Dutch show RTL Boulevard, he clarified his stance, stating, “I wrote and edited the English version. There’s never been any version that I’ve produced that has names in it.”

The source told the paper that this controversy dates back to 2021, following Meghan and Harry’s high-profile interview with Oprah Winfrey. In this interview, Meghan made startling revelations about her experiences within the royal family.

She discussed the lack of security and title for her son, and more notably, the conversations and concerns raised about the potential skin color of her then-unborn child, Archie. These revelations sparked widespread discussions and debates about the royal family’s treatment of Meghan and the underlying issues of race and protocol.
