‘Human remains found’ Near Harry and Meghan’s House – Police Starts Investigation

The bones of an adult have reportedly been found yards away from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s £11 million California mansion.

According to the details, workers who were doing landscaping found bones on an estate on Riven Rock Road in Montecito just yards from the Sussexes’ plush home, The Sun reports.

The bones were found on May 24 on a road in Montecito which neighbors the street of the couple’s luxury complex, according to a Santa Barbara Sheriff’s office spokeswoman. They appeared to be that of a ‘young adult’ and were ‘very old,’ the spokeswoman said, and may be Native American in origin dating back centuries.

Their age will be determined by a forensic anthropologist called in by police. Landscapers made the discovery last week while working at an estate in Riven Rock Road in Montecito, California.

The exact address was not released but the area is roughly 350 yards from the property to which Meghan, 39, and Harry, 36, moved last year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into their mansion last year after stepping down as senior royals and moving to the United States (US) with their son Archie.

According to The Sun, the skeleton is incomplete and was found around 2-3 feet deep in the soil. They alleged the bones could have been from a member of the Chumash tribe, who are said to have inhabited the region from around 700AD.

The spokeswoman said if the remains were not old, there would be an investigation. “We will have to get out our magnifying glasses,” she said.
