Shocking! Harry and Meghan Fired An ‘Irresponsible’ Night Nannie

During the night, an accident happened.

The royal communicator Omid Scobie claimed in an interview for the UK’s Channel 4 documentary A Very Royal Baby: From Cradle to Crown that Duke and Duchess of Sussex were asked to fire an “irresponsible” night nurse after an “incident” happened at night. Scobie is the co-author of Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, along with Carolyn Durand. Finding Freedom reported the difficulty confronted by Meghan and Harry to find a trusted night Nannie.

Scobie told in the documentary: Very few people know the real story behind it. After Archie’s arrival, Harry and Meghan wanted some help to establish a sleep pattern. They hired a night nanny. Whilst I can’t go into someone else’s employment details for legal reasons, it was an incident on one of the first nights that put the couple off from having a night nurse.”

Scobie and Durand called the first-night nanny “unprofessional” and “irresponsible” in their book. After the “incident,'” Harry and Meghan were curious about Archie that they would get up and check him multiple times an evening, even after hiring a night nurse they felt more comfortable with. Eventually, they quit the idea to hire a nanny for the nighttime completely.

Scobie claimed in an interview for the documentary that primarily, the couple emphasized that they “didn’t want a Mary Poppins-type character around their child”. After this incident, the couple got to agree to hire a daytime caretaker for Archie.

The plans of the couples to hire a nanny for the forthcoming baby girl. Like Harry and Meghan, both would be busy with their projects. Meghan is releasing her first children’s book, and Harry is taking on the role of Chief Impact Officer at BetterUp. Doria Ragland, Meghan’s mom, is expected to stay a few days with Meghan to help them, as she did when Archie was born.
