Georgia Jones, wife of McFly star Danny Jones, has candidly shared a parenting habit she regrets, admitting she sometimes finds herself distracted by her phone instead of being present with her son, Cooper. The Yorkshire influencer and Mum’s The Word podcast host spoke about her struggles on the show, which she co-hosts with Kelsey Parker. Addressing the common issue faced by many parents, Georgia confessed:

“I will hold my hands up here and make all the other parents out there feel a lot better by saying, sometimes I am absolutely not in the moment and I do beat myself up about it”, reports the Manchester Evening News. Balancing Parenting and Work Georgia described a specific scenario where she becomes absent-minded, highlighting how modern distractions can interfere with quality time.

“When Coop is in the bath. Coop is sat in the bath and I’ll just sit there scrolling on my phone while he’s in the bath. And I’m doing it and then all of a sudden I go, what am I doing?” She acknowledged that these moments could be valuable bonding time but admitted that work obligations often pull her attention away, according to Daily Record.

“There are times when I don’t even realize I’m doing it, and then there are other times where I’m like, oh God, I feel terrible,” she added. Expressing her concerns, she said, “Like, it’s a bit s* because I don’t want Cooper to remember his childhood with me just being on my phone all the time.”**

A Fresh Perspective After Family Time Following a recent family getaway to Cornwall, Georgia gained a renewed appreciation for spending uninterrupted time with her son. With Danny away on tour, the trip allowed her to focus entirely on Cooper, giving her a fresh perspective on parenting.

“I came away from it feeling so happy and, like, content, so I can only imagine what Cooper must have felt like.” Georgia and Danny, who tied the knot in 2014, have often shared insights into their close-knit family life. Their bond was on full display during Danny’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! journey last year, where Georgia and Cooper surprised him in the jungle, leading to an emotional reunion.

Reflecting on the experience, Danny said: “Honestly, this place is an amazing place, even though it’s been challenging. It just makes you realise how much you love people and you put stuff into perspective.”
