Gary Barlow’s Son Stuns Fans with Towering Height Over Take That Star—But There’s a Catch

Gary Barlow’s son, Daniel, recently went viral after fans were amazed to see the striking height difference between the 24-year-old and his famous father. Known for keeping his personal life private, Gary, 52, shared a rare family photo showing him alongside his wife, Dawn Andrews, and two of their children, Daniel and Emily. The Take That star and Dawn share four children: Daniel, Emily, and Daisy, as well as Poppy, who was sadly stillborn in 2012.

In the viral snap, Daniel surprised fans as he towered over his dad, casually resting his arm on Gary’s shoulder. Dressed in gray board shorts and a white striped polo shirt, Daniel’s height left many fans doing a double-take. However, despite appearances, Daniel’s height is actually quite common. Standing at 6’2”, he’s above the average male height in the UK, but not exceptionally so. In comparison, Gary’s height is 5’7”, making Daniel’s presence even more striking.

The singer, known for his role as a British pop icon, recently shared insights into his family life and his children’s career paths, revealing that music might not be in their futures. In a conversation with The Mirror, Gary shared, “The two oldest ones [Daniel and Emily] have gone into medicine and physiology – studying strength and conditioning. My youngest, Daisy, I’m not too sure what she’s heading for, but she’s very studious… unlike me and my wife.”

Although Gary has found success in the music industry, he doesn’t expect his children to follow in his footsteps, though he wouldn’t have discouraged them if they had shown interest. “I don’t think they will follow in my music footsteps,” he added, “but I wouldn’t have discouraged them if they did want to; it’s been a good business for me.”

Reflecting on the passage of time, Gary previously spoke to the Belfast Telegraph in 2019 about the challenges and joys of watching his children grow up. “I always feel they’re growing up too fast – it’s weird. It’s all going to sound like something parents have said a million times, but it feels like a race,” he admitted. “They’re doing this, they’re doing that, and all of a sudden you turn around and they’ve grown up.”

In a candid moment, Gary acknowledged the ups and downs of parenting while balancing a demanding career. “I have good days and bad days. Some days I’m a terrible parent, other days I’m good,” he admitted. Despite his busy schedule, Gary credits his wife, Dawn, for shouldering much of the parenting while he was on tour and recording. “I owe it all – their upbringing – to my wife because I’ve been on tour for most of it, traveling around and making records, and she’s been the one who’s gone to all the parent evenings and done all the stuff, so it’s all because of her.”

As fans admire the family’s rare moments together, it’s clear that while Gary may not expect his children to join the music industry, he’s immensely proud of them and the unique paths they’ve chosen.
