In an update, the Met Office warned residents to prepare for harsh conditions. “You’re still going to need those thick coats over the coming days. With a brisk easterly wind setting itself back up again, it’s going to be feeling very cold when stepping outside,” the weather service stated.
The forecast predicts mostly dry conditions across Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland, particularly in the north and west. These areas may see some sunshine breaking through the cold air.
