Father Suffers ‘Serious Injuries’ in Unprovoked Attack While Walking with Child in Notting Hill

A father sustained serious injuries after being assaulted while walking with his child along Westbourne Grove in Notting Hill on Saturday, October 5, shortly after 1 p.m, told the Mirror. The Metropolitan Police reported that the man fell and struck his head on a wall during the attack, resulting in significant injuries, including bleeding, a fractured eye socket, and severe bruising.

CCTV footage has been released by the police in an effort to identify the suspect, described as a black male around 40 years old, of medium to large build, according to the Independent. At the time of the incident, the suspect was seen wearing a blue jacket, blue trousers, white trainers, and a blue baseball cap.

Both the father and the child were treated at the hospital following the assault and have since been discharged, though they will require further medical care as they recover.

The Metropolitan Police are continuing their investigation and have labeled the incident as an “unprovoked attack.” Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the assault to come forward.

As the investigation progresses, the Met has asked the public to review the CCTV images they have released in hopes that someone may recognize the man involved.
