Coleen Nolan Breaks Silence with Heartfelt Message as She Receives Support After Sister Linda’s Tragic Death

Coleen Nolan has shared her profound sorrow following the passing of her sister, Linda Nolan, who died at 65 after a courageous fight against cancer. Linda, a cherished member of the legendary family group The Nolans, spent her final moments “surrounded by her devoted family,” leaving behind a legacy of resilience and hope, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

The family broke the news with an emotional statement posted on social media: “It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of beloved Linda Nolan. She faced incurable cancer with courage, grace & determination, inspiring millions. Surrounded by family, she passed peacefully. A pop icon and beacon of hope, Linda will never be forgotten.”

Coleen, a regular on Loose Women, expressed her heartbreak by reposting the statement with a simple broken-heart emoji. Her son Shane Nolan also shared a heartfelt tribute to his “beautiful Aunty Linda,” reflecting on the time he spent with her during her final hours.

Linda’s battle with cancer began in 2005 with a breast cancer diagnosis, leading to a mastectomy and remission in 2011. In 2017, she faced a secondary diagnosis, with cancer spreading to her liver and brain. Despite these challenges, Linda became a fierce advocate for cancer awareness, speaking openly about her experiences and championing new treatments like Enhertu, which she called “amazing.”

Her manager, Dermot McNamara, detailed her final days:
“Over the weekend, Linda was admitted to Blackpool Victoria Hospital with double pneumonia. Early Tuesday, she entered end-of-life care, surrounded by her loving family. She passed peacefully Wednesday morning, embraced with love and comfort.”

Tributes to Linda poured in, including from the Loose Women panel. Christine Lampard said, “Linda, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten. We’ve been talking about you with Coleen for so long, yet we’re never prepared.”

Linda’s passing follows the loss of her sister Bernie in 2013 to breast cancer. Despite these tragedies, the Nolan family has demonstrated extraordinary strength. Linda’s sister Anne, now cancer-free after her own battle, stood by Linda throughout her journey, showcasing the unshakable bond of the Nolan sisters.

Though Linda is gone, her courage and contributions to raising cancer awareness will continue to inspire countless others. She leaves behind a legacy of love, hope, and resilience that will never be forgotten.
