The 30-year-old Paralympic swimmer posted a photo of herself wearing a royal blue turtleneck jumper and black jeans, holding the sleeping baby, Nirvaan, who had just been introduced to her by her friends Charlotte and Jigar.
Ellie expressed her joy at meeting the little one for the first time, writing: “Meeting baby Nirvana for the first time. Congrats Charl and Jigar,” alongside a blue heart emoji. Nirvaan’s parents, Charlotte and Jigar, recently welcomed their baby, and Ellie couldn’t hide her excitement about the new addition to their circle, as reported by the Express.
This heartwarming post comes over a year after Ellie’s split from her boyfriend Matt Dean, with whom she had been in a relationship for two years. A source shared with The Sun in October 2023 that their breakup was amicable, saying: “Ellie and Matt have sadly split but it was amicable on both sides and there remains a lot of love there. They preferred to keep their relationship out of the public eye and it was the same with the breakup, but both are doing OK.”
Ellie and Matt, who had known each other since childhood, only began dating in 2021. Matt had been a strong support for Ellie during her time on Strictly, attending the live shows and cheering her on. Ellie previously spoke about how Matt encouraged her to take the leap and compete on the show, saying: “I was like shall I, shall I not. Then I spoke to my other half Matt, and he was like ‘Go for it Ellie, take that leap of faith, you don’t know unless you try.’ Now I’m so happy I said yes.”
