Eamonn Holmes has opened up about his heartfelt intentions for 2025 as he faces his first Christmas apart from Ruth Langsford following their surprising separation earlier this year. The former This Morning duo shocked fans in May with the announcement of their divorce after decades together, according to Belfast Live.
Now entering the festive season, Holmes, who has found love again, reflected on the upcoming year and the challenges of spending Christmas without his Loose Women star ex-wife. Taking to Twitter on Sunday night, he revealed his new focus on helping animals.
“I’ve just been watching ‘A #Donkey for Christmas’ on @channel5_tv,” he wrote. “I’m going to help even more #animal #charities in 2025 and beyond. Wickedness towards them is just so disgusting and heartbreaking.”
The Dogs Trust VIP Team responded with encouragement, tweeting, “Great news! Happy Christmas Eamonn.” Holmes replied with optimism, “Onwards and upwards. Returning that Love.”

Holmes responded to the post by liking it and reflecting on his own loss. “When folk ask me ‘What do u want for Christmas?’ Three Christmases without u now Mum and you are still top of my wish list,” he wrote.
Holmes’ co-host Isabel Webster also marked the end of their professional year together with an Instagram post, captioned, “Final show from us for 2024. Thanks for your company this year.
