Denim Expert Pioneers Wastewater Recycling with New Treatment Plant

This initiative aims to achieve a remarkable milestone: 100 percent wastewater recycling and the elimination of hazardous chemical discharge, in line with the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Wastewater Guidelines Version 2.0.
Commenting on this significant step, Mostafiz Uddin, the managing director and CEO of Denim Expert Ltd., emphasized the company’s unwavering commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices. He stated, “The establishment of this new biological effluent treatment plant underscores our dedication to principles that prioritize environmental responsibility, ensuring a healthier planet for generations to come.” However, the company did not specify the operational timeline for the new plant.
Denim Expert Ltd. has gained recognition for its sustainability endeavors, earning the title of ‘New Champion’ from the World Economic Forum. Collaborating with organizations such as Cascale (formerly the Sustainable Apparel Coalition), the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Jeans Redesign program, Denim Expert Ltd. demonstrates its proactive approach towards environmental stewardship.
Affirming its commitment to driving positive environmental change, the company highlighted its participation in initiatives like the Partnership for Cleaner Textile (PaCT) and the ongoing implementation of the 3E program. Denim Expert remains steadfast in its pursuit of 100 percent water reuse and aims to transition to full reliance on solar energy, further solidifying its position as a leader in sustainable manufacturing practices.
