I’m A Celeb Winner Danny Jones Poised for Huge ITV Career Move

McFly star Danny Jones is reportedly being considered for a career change following his success on I’m A Celebrity 2024. The 38-year-old singer and guitarist, who gained fame through his music, is now the subject of discussions with ITV chiefs who see a bright future for him on television. Sources suggest that executives are keen to make him a long-term fixture, alongside well-known TV personalities such as Joel Dommett and Bradley Walsh.

While Danny is already a judge on The Voice UK, alongside his McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher, ITV is reportedly exploring other opportunities to feature him on more shows. A source told The Sun, “Danny embodies everything ITV adores. He’s fun, family-friendly, and incredibly popular. His popularity on I’m A Celeb made him a key target for upcoming shows. Danny is not only a brilliant musician but also great on TV. ITV bosses are exploring if they can sign him on for another series of The Voice UK and there are other shows they believe he could be perfect on.”

Danny’s popularity surged during his time on I’m A Celebrity, where he shared personal stories about his mental health struggles, including his experiences with anxiety and therapy. He emotionally opened up about beginning therapy at 19 after a panic attack during a live TV interview, according to the Birmingham Live. In addition, Danny revealed his estrangement from his father, Alan, 72, who he hasn’t seen for 18 years following his departure from Danny’s mother, Kathy.

The emotional reunion with his wife, Georgia, and their six-year-old son, Cooper, after crossing the iconic jungle bridge further captured viewers’ hearts. As ITV looks to expand its roster of family-friendly personalities, Danny is poised for a promising future in television.
