Coleen Nolan’s Heartbreaking Comments About Linda Nolan’s Final Nights Alone Before Her Death

Coleen Nolan has opened up about the emotional final moments of her sister Linda Nolan, who passed away on January 15 at the age of 65 after a long battle with secondary breast cancer. Surrounded by her sisters, Linda spent her final hours embraced in love and comfort.

The beloved Irish musician and television personality had shared an optimistic update in her weekly column just days before her death, despite battling a tough Christmas period and a “bout of flu.” However, Linda’s condition worsened after she contracted double pneumonia, which left her struggling to breathe. She was rushed to the hospital, where doctors made the difficult decision to move her to end-of-life care, according to the Express.

Linda’s sisters Anne, 74, Denise, 72, Maureen, 69, and Coleen, 59, were called to her bedside at 3:30 a.m. on January 14. They remained with her during her final hours, offering her comfort and support.

In an earlier interview with the Mirror, Coleen reflected on Linda’s bravery throughout her cancer journey. “She’s totally on her own at night, and in your bedroom, your brain just overthinks,” Coleen said. “She has her cry, and she’s scared, but she’s an absolute warrior.”

Despite her struggles, including losing her hair for the fourth time due to treatment, Linda remained determined. “She treats chemo like she’s going to Tesco,” Coleen shared. “It keeps coming back and battering her, but she keeps on smiling and getting out of bed even though she b****y hates it.”

Coleen also spoke about Linda’s vulnerability when it came to losing her hair. “She hates it, she hates being bald,” Coleen admitted. “She thinks it’s vain, but I always tell her it’s not.”

Following Linda’s passing, Coleen reposted a heartfelt statement from Linda’s agent, Dermot McNamara, which read: “She passed peacefully, with her loving siblings by her bedside, ensuring she was embraced with love and comfort during her final moments. Linda’s legacy extends beyond her incredible achievements in music and entertainment. She was a beacon of hope and resilience, sharing her journey to inspire others.”

Linda Nolan’s death has left her fans heartbroken, but her legacy as a performer, advocate, and symbol of resilience will continue to inspire. As Coleen put it, “She was a warrior,” and she will never be forgotten.
