“He’s Grown Up”: Coleen Rooney Ready to Brave the Jungle After Gaining Trust in Husband Wayne

After years of ups and downs in her marriage, Coleen Rooney is reportedly preparing to take on a new challenge by joining the hit ITV show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! next month. The 38-year-old TV star has gained “total trust” in her husband, former footballer Wayne Rooney, and now feels confident enough to focus on her own projects without fear of his past missteps. Insiders reveal that this newfound trust has given Coleen the freedom to embark on her jungle adventure.

Wayne, who was appointed head coach of Plymouth Argyle this summer, appears to have turned a new leaf, with sources close to the couple confirming that he has “definitely changed.” One insider explained, “He’s grown up. He’s definitely changed and Coleen totally trusts him. This is one of the reasons she’s agreed to do the jungle.” The source went on to add that Coleen now feels secure in the knowledge that Wayne “isn’t going to blow up and do something daft again” while she’s away.

In the past, Wayne’s behavior was often a concern whenever Coleen was overseas or away from home. As a result, she used to harbor fears about his ability to stay out of trouble. A close friend told The Mirror, “One of the most common factors in the incidents in the past has been that Wayne always seemed to go off the rails when Coleen was away, or when he was overseas and left to his own devices.” However, it seems those worries are now behind her.

According to The Sun, the mother of four no longer carries the same “fears and apprehensions” she once did about Wayne. This shift in their relationship has allowed Coleen to feel more confident in taking on new opportunities, including her upcoming stint in the jungle. Producers of the show are reportedly eager to have her on board, especially with the possibility that she might open up about her tumultuous marriage to the ex-Manchester United star and her highly publicized feud with Rebekah Vardy.

Wayne, also 38, has been spending most of his week away from Coleen and their four sons, Kai (14), Klay (11), Kit (8), and Cass (6), due to his coaching position in Devon. While the long-distance relationship has presented challenges, it has also allowed Coleen to see just how much their trust has grown. Friends close to the couple say that this period of separation has reinforced Coleen’s confidence in Wayne’s maturity and commitment to their family.

Wayne’s coaching career hit a rough patch last season when he was let go from his position as Birmingham City boss in January. However, his recent appointment at Plymouth has seen a positive turnaround, with three home league victories already under his belt this season. His career comeback has been mirrored by a resurgence in his relationship with Coleen, who nearly ended their marriage after a particularly difficult incident in 2017. During that time, Wayne faced charges of drink-driving after being caught behind the wheel of another woman’s car while Coleen was away in Majorca.

Despite the rocky history, Coleen’s decision to join I’m a Celebrity signals a new chapter in their marriage, one built on trust and mutual respect. As she prepares to enter the jungle, all eyes will be on Coleen, not only for how she handles the challenges of the show but also for any insights she may share about her marriage, her family, and her very public past.
