King Charles Pushes for Prince Harry’s UK Move to Heal Royal Rift ‘Charles Hates Video Calls

Prince Harry and Prince William may be on the brink of ending their long-standing feud, thanks to concerted efforts by King Charles, according to royal expert Tom Quinn. The King has reportedly urged Harry to seek property in the UK, facilitating more interaction between the monarch and his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

“King Charles has been putting pressure on Harry to do just this as he is angry that his only relationship with his grandchildren so far is via video calls, which Charles hates,” Quinn told The Mirror. The idea is that if Harry relocates closer to the UK, it would not only allow Charles more time with his grandchildren but also provide a neutral ground for the brothers to mend their relationship.

Quinn suggests that William and Kate’s children, who frequently visit Highgrove, could spend weekends with Harry’s children. “This would neatly get around the problem of Meghan—she just wouldn’t need to be there and the children could be whisked back to the States after a week or two,” Quinn added.

Despite these potential plans, Harry’s life remains firmly rooted in the United States. He has previously expressed ambivalence about applying for American citizenship. In an interview with Good Morning America, Harry responded to a question about feeling American by saying, “Do I feel American? No… I don’t know how I feel.” He also mentioned that while American citizenship had crossed his mind, it was not a priority.

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, appears content with her life in California and seems unlikely to return to the UK. Author Omid Scobie, in his book “Endgame,” claims Meghan “never felt at home” in the UK and has no intention of returning. Meghan’s absence from King Charles’ coronation and other significant events, such as the Invictus Games, underscores her reluctance to reengage with the royal family.

Scobie suggests that Meghan’s decision is influenced by her desire to avoid the “soap opera of the court.” Her absence has led to speculation about her role in any potential reconciliation between Harry and William.

The strained relationship between the brothers has been a subject of public fascination and media scrutiny. Their rift reportedly deepened following Harry and Meghan’s departure from royal duties and their subsequent move to California. The tension was further exacerbated by their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, where they aired grievances about the royal family.

King Charles’ intervention is seen as a crucial step toward healing the familial divide. His push for Harry to find a home in the UK reflects his desire to foster a closer family bond and ensure his grandchildren are part of royal life. However, the logistics and emotional complexities of such a move remain significant hurdles.

In a recent interview, Harry touched on his complex feelings about his identity and place within both the UK and the US. While he acknowledges the cultural and personal ties he has to America, his connections to the UK and his royal heritage remain strong.

The future of Harry and Meghan’s involvement with the royal family continues to be a topic of speculation. While Meghan appears resolute in her decision to stay away, Harry’s potential return to the UK—at least periodically—could signify a shift in the dynamics within the royal family.
