Ozzy Osbourne Molly Mae Hague and More Celebs Who Can’t Stand Christmas

Christmas cheer is all around, but not everyone is feeling the festive spirit this year. Some celebrities, including Ozzy Osbourne, Molly-Mae Hague, Pete Wicks, and Noel Gallagher, have openly confessed their dislike for the holiday season, sharing their reasons for their “bah humbug” attitudes.

Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman, has been vocal about his disdain for Christmas for years. In 2009, he complained about the commercialism of the season, saying, “I have to unravel all these fking presents. What a fking waste of paper.” By 2022, his feelings hadn’t softened, and he told Loudersound, “I’ve been saying to [wife] Sharon, ‘F**k Christmas, I hate it.’ It’s for shopaholics and kids, and so I’ve always wanted to work through Christmas”, reports OK!.

Molly-Mae Hague, the former Love Island star turned influencer, also finds Christmas difficult, linking it to personal struggles. She shared with her followers that the holiday brings up “mixed memories” for her, particularly due to her parents’ divorce. “It’s a little different when your family isn’t all together,” she admitted, adding, “Christmas always brings up such mixed memories for me.”

Pete Wicks, ex-TOWIE star, prefers to spend Christmas solo. In a 2021 interview, Pete explained, “I’m so glad I’ve been away and missed most of the build up to Christmas. The day itself is fine, but the build-up before and the month after is awful.” He shared that he typically spends the holiday with his dogs and enjoys watching classics like Only Fools and Horses, saying, “That is pretty much my Christmas, job done”, reported by the Mirror.

Surprisingly, even Love Actually star Colin Firth has a deep aversion to Christmas. He revealed in 2009, “I have a profound loathing of Christmas – it’s sad really. At this time of year, I am careful not to switch on the radio because those novelty jingles make me homicidal and plunge me into the heart of Scrooge territory.” He further admitted, “Everyone is trying to throw happy stuff at you, and that’s when I come over all humbug.”

Rod Stewart, according to his wife Penny Lancaster, also isn’t a fan of the holiday season. Penny shared, “Rod doesn’t love Christmas. He can’t wait till the decorations are down and his house is back to normal,” though she tries to cheer him up with a little “Lady Christmas” to lift his mood.

Noel Gallagher, the Oasis frontman, is another who’s made no secret of his dislike for Christmas. He once admitted, “I fking hate it with a passion,” adding that despite giving the holiday another chance, it still didn’t live up to his expectations. “Too much food, too much ‘We Are the World,’ the sweaters, the TV presenters, the st adverts, the f**king weather,” he remarked.
