Carol Kirkwood Reveals New Career Move and Shares a Playful Romance Update
0Carol Kirkwood opened up about her latest career adventure and made a candid confession on The One Show on Tuesday (24 July). The weather expert appeared on the program to introduce her new book, Once Upon A Time In Venice.
While carefully avoiding too many spoilers, the meteorologist hinted at what readers can expect from the novel. Carol emphasized Venice’s reputation as a romantic destination while subtly alluding to mysterious events unfolding in its shadows and alleyways, reported Daily Express.
Speaking to hosts Alex Scott and Anita Rani, the BBC star, who is releasing her third novel, shared her affection for the city. “Oh my goodness, Anita, I love Venice first of all,” she said. “It has everything. It’s romantic, Casanova lived there, it’s got history, it’s got art, it’s got culture, and it’s got little alleyways where you can get lost.”
Carol gave a glimpse of what readers might find in her latest work, adding, “There’s no street lighting, so it’s great for hiding secrets and that kind of thing,” while looking at her co-stars with a twinkle in her eye. She continued, “There’s also the Cipriani Hotel in Venice, and I’ve based the hotel in my book, The White Palace Hotel, a bit on that five-star luxury.”
Her third publication is now available on Amazon for fans eager to grab a copy. The conversation soon shifted to Carol’s personal life, with Alex asking, “Your real life has been quite romantic since we last met. You got married in December, and you say the weather wasn’t on your side, which is terrible when you’re booking a wedding, but you looked super happy and super beautiful. So how is it?”
“It’s going fabulously and I couldn’t be happier,” Carol responded. “It was the perfect day, it was a small intimate wedding, and it was beautiful and very romantic.” Reflecting on the irony of the weather on her wedding day, the TV personality quipped, “There was a storm, can you believe it? Storm Gerrit. We booked it a bit in advance, and we didn’t know there was going to be a storm.
I was watching it in the lead-up to the wedding and I was thinking ‘no,’ but on the actual day, we didn’t even notice.” Carol Kirkwood’s engaging blend of professional and personal stories continues to captivate her audience, whether through her novels or her appearances on television.
