Heartbreaker Revealed ESPN Reporter Ashley ShahAhmadi Is Already Taken After SEC Championship Game

College football fans were left heartbroken after discovering that ESPN reporter Ashley ShahAhmadi, 32, is officially off the market. The Emmy Award-winning sports journalist first captured viewers’ attention during the SEC Championship game between Georgia and Texas on Saturday, December 7, reported by the Daily Mail.

ShahAhmadi appeared on-screen at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, hosting the Dr. Pepper Halftime Challenge, where two students had the chance to win $100,000 by chest-passing a football into a giant Dr. Pepper can. Dressed in a sleeveless brown top and a matching miniskirt, ShahAhmadi quickly became the focus of the broadcast — but not for her role in the challenge.

Viewers on social media couldn’t help but express their admiration for the sports reporter, with one fan writing, “I love you. Marry me?” Another user added, “I need you in my life,” as it became evident that ShahAhmadi’s relationship status was generating more buzz than the halftime event itself.

However, the romance fans were hoping for was quickly dashed by a sharp-eyed X (formerly Twitter) user who noticed a significant detail. “After replay assistance, I am devastated,” they posted, accompanied by a zoomed-in shot of ShahAhmadi’s left hand, showing a prominent engagement ring and wedding band. “Heart breaker,” another fan wrote, and one user simply replied, “NOOOOOOOOOOO” in all caps.

For those curious about ShahAhmadi’s love life, the ESPN reporter has been married since October 2023. She got engaged to her partner Tyler in February 2023, and the two are also proud pet parents to two fur babies, according to her Instagram.

ShahAhmadi, a University of Georgia graduate, joined ESPN in 2023. Her career includes covering the 2024 NBA post-season for ESPN Radio, where she reported on the Minnesota/Dallas playoff series. She also has experience working with Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta, where she covered the NBA as both a TV host and reporter.

Fans were disappointed to learn that ShahAhmadi’s heart was already taken, but they can still enjoy her impressive sports journalism career.
