Anna Kendrick Practically Flashed The Camera In This High-Slit Dress At The BAFTA Awards
0As award season rolls on, the 2021 BAFTAs were one of the ceremonies to be held in person (for the most part).
Though the star-studded event typically has at least one royal in attendance, Prince William cancelled following the death of his grandfather, Prince Philip, on April 9. Despite the lack of royals in the audience, stars still brought their fashion A-game! From gorgeous gowns to stylish suits, there was lots to love, but one of our standout faves HAD to be Anna Kendrick, who wowed in Zuhair Murad. Just check out the major sass she served up with that dress flip on Instagram. Slay!
As one of the celebs to virtually attend the BAFTAs on Sunday, April 11, the Pitch Perfect star was a vision in a metallic gown featuring a pleated skirt and daring, thigh-high slit. Created as part of Zuhair Murad’s fall 2021 ready-to-wear-collection, the dress originally had short sleeves rather than thin straps–but we prefer Anna’s version!
The high-cut of the slit had us worrying about a wardrobe malfunction, but Anna kept it together. And once we stopped staring at the gown, we noticed her killer accessories, like those shoes, which flaunted a pointed toe made from PVC material and Swarovski crystal straps—ooh la la!
You may remember that PVC heels were previously popular in 2019, with the Kardashian-Jenners constantly stepping out in see-through designs. More recently, Megan Fox caught our eye on date night with her BF, Machine Gun Kelly, in a pair of PVC Amina Muaddi heels.
Looks like she and Anna are bringing back the see-through shoe trend this year!
We’re seriously wowed by Anna’s BAFTA look, but it isn’t the first time she’s stunned on the red carpet this year. On March 14, the actress showed up for the 2021 Kid’s Choice Awards in a Carolina Herrera minidress (complete with black bows attached to each shoulder) that flaunted a LOT of leg. Looks like that’s her thing right now, but you know what they say–if you’ve got it, flaunt it, and Anna definitely has ‘it’!
We can’t wait to see what she’ll wear next.
