Amanda Holden Moved to Tears by Kate Middleton’s Brave Battle

Amanda Holden shared an emotional reaction to Kate Middleton’s recent family video, which touched hearts across the world. The Princess of Wales, 42, released a poignant message on Monday, September 9, revealing her relief at completing chemotherapy after a difficult year following her cancer diagnosis in March.

In the touching video, Kate opened up about her personal struggles, stating, “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant, and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”

The heartfelt footage offered a rare glimpse into the lives of Prince William, Kate, and their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—alongside Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. The video was a touching tribute to family and resilience in the face of hardship.

Amanda Holden, speaking on Heart Radio the next morning, admitted the video left her in tears. “I mean, what a brave battle and having to do it all in public,” she said, visibly moved. Describing the video as “gorgeous,” Amanda reflected on the strength Kate displayed, noting how emotional it was to watch the family together.

Amanda also likened the stunning location in the video to her own treasured family moments at Holkham Beach in Norfolk, remarking, “You look at it and go, ‘Aren’t we all lucky?'” She added, “Health and family is the most amazing, most important thing.”

Her colleague, JK, joined the discussion, highlighting how the video demonstrated that even the royal family faces personal battles like everyone else. Amanda agreed, stating, “It’s beautifully shot… I just wish them all the very best.”

She went on to express frustration over the scrutiny Kate has faced, saying, “I felt awful that she had to sort of sit there and explain herself in the first place, because of the press and social media, that made me boil with anger.”

As Kate looks ahead, she shared her hopes for the future, saying, “Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long… I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life.” She also offered words of solidarity to those on their own cancer journeys, saying, “Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright.”
