Alex Jones Slams Jared Leto for Rude Behaviour on The One Show

Alex Jones has never been one to hold back her thoughts, and now the beloved One Show presenter has taken aim at none other than Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto, calling him “so full of himself” and suggesting he was “not brought up well”.
In a no-holds-barred chat on the Netmums Podcast, the 47-year-old TV host and mother of three opened up about some of the most unforgettable moments in her career. While many might expect Hollywood A-listers to top the list of memorable interviews, Alex revealed she actually finds British celebrities far more interesting.
“We’ve had people on who are big Hollywood stars. I mean, last week we had Robert De Niro and he was lovely, but he was lovely afterwards,” she shared, pulling back the curtain on what really happens once the cameras stop rolling.
But it was Jared Leto’s 2022 appearance on The One Show that left the strongest impression – and not for good reasons. Recalling the interview, Alex didn’t mince her words.
“He was there in sort of dressed as one of the Three Musketeers and he had all this, like, I don’t know, Gucci, big shirt, sleeves billowing. I mean, he was so full of himself,” she said.

“And I thought, no, no, no, no. Our audience are nice people and they deserve better than this. And, okay, you might be a huge celebrity star and have done all these films, but it doesn’t cost anything to be polite and nice. Anyone who can’t bring those simple skills to the table, I’m out. I’m like, no, sorry, you’ve not been brought up well, then.”
Alex’s comments echo a previous jab she took at the Morbius and Suicide Squad star. In 2023, while appearing on Josh Widdicombe and Rob Beckett’s Parenting Hell podcast, she was asked to name her worst-ever guest — without hesitation, she said, “Jared Leto.”
“He was dressed in Gucci and whatever and just so dismissive. He put himself on like a different plane to everybody else. I just can’t bear people like that,” she added.
During that One Show appearance, the atmosphere was already tense. Jared joined the show via Zoom, and Alex jokingly commented on their matching frilly blouses. “Oh my goodness, look, you got the memo, the frilly shirt, I like it, yes,” she said. But things quickly turned awkward.
When Alex admitted Morbius might be too scary for her young son, and suggested that WeCrashed, another of Jared’s projects, didn’t sound very exciting, the actor snapped back.
“Hold on, hold on, first Morbius is too scary, and now WeCrashed is too boring?” he said, clearly irritated.
Trying to lighten the mood, Alex challenged him to prove them wrong. Jared replied, “I will prove you wrong. You watch them, and I guarantee one thing, you will definitely not be bored.”
But it seems Alex wasn’t convinced. And while she remains one of the UK’s most loved presenters, it’s clear that no amount of Gucci can win her over without a little basic courtesy.
